Hello! My name is Rachel Hall, and my passion is to help established and aspiring authors present their writing in a polished form to keep readers turning the pages and wanting more.
I began my career as a traditional college and university classroom instructor of writing, linguistics, and literature. I later worked as an online higher education administrator, during which time I wrote and edited online courses in a variety of fields and mentored faculty and adult learners. Along the way, I have been editing for writers in various genres, including academic publications, sports manuals, business documents, non-fiction and fiction.
Currently, I am a freelance editor. I primarily do contract work for two small publishers and for independent self-publishing authors. I focus on Christian and spiritual non-fiction, memoirs, young adult fiction, and children's fiction.
I grew up in Minnesota, and I have lived all around the U.S., including in Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, California, Montana, and Alabama. I currently live in Wisconsin with my husband and four children.
I'm available locally in the Milwaukee, WI area and virtually anywhere for consults on all your writing projects.
